Thank you to our Picnic Committee - Vickie Duin, Gene Kulick, Harry and Carol Stryker, Geraldine Schwarz, Judy Van Beesel, who took it upon themselves to make this picnic happen. We are also grateful to everyone who labored tirelessly in preparation and to all those who came and supported us on the day of the picnic. Thank you and we love you. God bless!
Stay tuned for our next events! On Sunday, September 10th, before the Liturgy, Father Aleksey met with the Sunday School children and teachers in the Atrium, where they began the school year with a prayer.
During the Liturgy we prayed for the victims of the hurricanes in Florida, Texas, and the Caribbean Islands, and for peace in our God-protected nation. After the Liturgy, we prayed for all of our students and teachers for blessed beginning of the new school year. Father encouraged to apply the knowledge they receive during this year to their Christian faith, and apply their Christian faith to the knowledge they receive. And the teachers were reminded that they have an opportunity to share Christ with their students and to educate the next generation of great thinkers. This week Ioann and Katerina, priest's kids, celebrate their 7th birthday, while Father Aleksey and Matushka Natallia celebrate their 9th anniversary. |
