On May 10, 2026, the Parish of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist joyfully celebrated Mother’s Day, honoring the mothers and women whose love, sacrifice, and dedication enrich the life of the parish community. At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the parish choir sang Many Years in honor of all the mothers and women of the parish, offering prayers for their health, salvation, and many blessed years.
Following the service, during the veneration of the Cross, Father Mark presented each woman with a rose as a small token of gratitude and appreciation. The celebration continued during the fellowship hour, where the men of the parish hosted a special coffee hour in honor of the women. Adding to the festive atmosphere, the parish children performed several songs under the direction of the parish choir director, Matushka Alla Kerko. Their heartfelt performance brought joy to all in attendance and served as a fitting tribute to the mothers, grandmothers, and women whose faith and devotion help nurture both their families and the parish community. |
