The Great Feast of Theophany, or Baptism, of our Lord Jesus Christ is January 19. This is the time of renewal each year, as water is blessed and brought to our homes. We dedicate, and rededicate, ourselves, our houses, and family to Jesus Christ with this blessing every year.
House blessings will begin on January 19 and go until I bless every house that needs to be blessed. I do not mind traveling to visit you and bless your house. Anything over 100 miles might be a bit too much, but a trip under 100 miles is fine (I am not joking).
In order to facilitate the scheduling for house blessings, please fill out the form below.
Scheduling will be done in the order of receiving requests (“first come first serve”). If you do not want your house blessed this year, simply do not reply.
I will call/email you to confirm the house blessing.
Please provide three specific dates, with times, in order of your preference and convenience (see below for the days I am not available). And please do not say “any time” because any time might not work for me.
I will bless the houses in the Singac part of Little Falls on Sunday, January 19, starting at 1pm and on Monday, January 20, starting at 4pm. Singac residents, please still fill out the form, otherwise I might miss your house.
At this time of Theophany, we celebrate the Life given to us through our Lord’s Baptism. With the blessed water that the priest brings to our home, is a renewed awareness of the fact that everything we have is a gift of God and we set it apart for His service and care.

Brief Guide in Preparation for the House Blessing
In your Icon Corner or on the dining room table, please have:
Lighted candle, an icon, and a small bowl of Holy Water (I will have Holy Water with me in case you won’t have yours).
All radios, TVs, cellphones, etc., should be turned off.
All who are present in the house should come together and stand by the table.
Have the list with the names of those for whom special prayers are to be offered, including all the members of the family and those living in the house.
You can also have a list for your departed family members, prayers will be offered for them as well.
