Even though 2018 is 8 days old already, it's not too late to adjust or even re-write some your of New Year's resolutions to make Christ the center of them.
Below are some ideas of how to spend this year as an Orthodox Christian.
Our life is a journey, a spiritual journey to an unknown end. Christians know that there is only one end - Jesus Christ (whether we believe in Him or not).
A journey implies that our life, including the life of faith, is a continuous process. We can't magically jump on the right tracks to move in the right direction. In some way, we have to intentionally, on purpose, lead a Christian life. And this is also a process and a struggle.
Looking for ideas of how to re-adjust our life compass back to Christ is always good. One such source of ideas is the article by Fr Andrew Stephen Damick, "14 New Year’s Resolutions for Orthodox Christians." As the article suggests, Fr Andrew is giving us 14 ideas of improving not only our year, but, hopefully, our life.
Unless otherwise specified, the articles here are posted by Father Aleksey, who has no sense of humor and is extremely straight forward.
